i’m late. internet troubles yesterday…love Charter! and a fun day of exploring at mr. wilson’s parents’ house today. was able to go through a huge stack of vinyls passed down to mr. wilson from his grandfather and bring home some good stuff. listening to a previously unopened Tom Jones album. ah, Tom Jones. i may not be a married woman right now if i had let on to my undying love for Tom too soon. but anyway, onto this week’s little images…

once upon a time i couldn’t imagine selling my digital images. i think lots of photographers can empathize. they are the product of your time, sweat, and talent. your art. a very valuable thing indeed. and you very much want to control how they are turned into tangible products. using labs and companies that deliver products up to your standards. plus, i so love in person ordering sessions. sitting down with clients, with their proofs and helping them decide what sizes will look best on their walls or whether to go with traditional or floating canvases, etc etc. i love the products i offer. but i started to have many clients and potential clients inquire about purchasing the digital images. totally freaked me out. so i decided to offer them. but in my head, i thought that if i priced them on the high end, they would be less desirable. therefore, most of the time i would still be in controlllllll. i have realized that this is not fair. by doing that i have perhaps alienated super cool families. i may have missed out on meeting and making new people happy. so, times…they’re a-changing…
don’t worry, i still and will always offer my normal session fee and all my lovely products. i will always offer in person ordering sessions with all my samples and opinions in tow. but some clients really just want the digital images. to print where ever and whenever they’d like.
so in addition, i am now offering a simple digital package. straight forward. not a limited time thing. for good.
this week’s theme was dirty. i took a photo of the dirtiest thing in my life right now. my poor house is suppose to be white. currently it is more of a stripey tan. tan that you can wipe off with your finger. gross. i should probably be embarrassed of this image. eh…i’ll get around to pressure washing it one of these days. after all the pollen has settled, i keep telling myself:)

yeup, Superbaby. if you are a fan of Parks and Recreation you know what I am talking about. if not, you are crazy and you need to start catching up on it now! on the last episode, April and Andy tried to set up dreamy Chris with Andy’s beautiful women’s studies professor. then worry struck as they realized if they did, the offspring of two such crazy attractive people would be a super baby. and what if Superbaby became too powerful… this was all i could think of since the episode. Anna and Derek had created Superbaby!
i was beside myself when i found out Anna and Derek were expecting. nicholle and i were lucky enough to photograph their wedding a couple years ago. they are such awesome people. kind, totally down to earth, and beautiful. did i say beautiful:) it was so great to see them again and be able to document the only thing in their lives together bigger than their wedding.

this week’s theme…movement. i HAD grand plans for this photo. aren’t you tired of me saying that? excuses excuses. i wanted to capture cars zooming by on a busy street at night. but i didn’t. ho hum. instead, ayden zooming by on his bicycle. close enough:)
