as it often goes with siblings, Kailey normally has to share the spotlight with little sis Violet.  not this time.  this was all about Kailey.  i picked her up one morning to try to beat this unbearable heat we’ve been experiencing.  we headed to a little downtown nearby, hung out and laughed until we nearly melted.

Kailey is one of the kindest kids i know.  she is a straight A student, in academically gifted classes, an awesome friend (she and Ayden are pretty tight), and an even better sister.  but oh my gosh…she is growing up.  she’ll be starting middle school next year.  it was kind of hard looking through the photos from this session…she looked so grown up.  in her pretty dress and little (not too high) heels.  she is about to hit that age that intimidates the heck out of me.  that age where i can’t quite get a laugh from the silliness and jokes that work on the little guys.  but Kailey still humors me and i love the fire out of her for that…

and then to McDonalds for refreshments…but mostly their air conditioner
