augusta, ga is my second home – for a long time it was my home.  this family is family.  I have known Cathleen and husband, Chase, for almost 15 years – ouch.. seriously??  15 years?…   Aidan and little sister Avery are two of my very favorite little people.  Avery gives me such a hard time and refuses to acknowledge my existence on most visits.. in fact, the day she was born, she decided to hang out in the NICU until i had to leave..  but we had a bit of a breakthrough at the end of my last visit.. and this visit, she was loving me..  i would have been in heaven with that if it weren’t for her immediate love of Brandy.. i mean.. gosh.. i’ve worked TWO years to get to this place – to earn a term of endearment, Aunt Nonnie!!! .. and Brandy walks right in and gets hugs and kisses.. ugh..

we had such a fabulously fun time.. eating, laughing, a bit of wine…  and brandy and i were able to sneak in a 20 minute session with the kids before we left..
